Volunteer Arts Teaching Opportunity in Dorchester

Interested in turning your talents into teaching?  This is a great
professional development opportunity for artists/hobbyists who have a
passion for their craft and deep interest in passing their enthusiasm
and knowledge on to eager students.  This volunteer opportunity is
provided through Citizen Schools, an after-school academic enrichment
program that operates in middle schools nationally.  We offer free
training that will develop your skills as an educator and will support
you to create an exciting program for students shaped around your
skills.  Trained educators support your classroom teaching and work with
you week by week on your planning.  The apprenticeship, as we call it,
ends with a spectacular presentation/performance that shows off the
newly acquired skills of each student and works to reinvest into the
Dorchester community.
