Dot Art collaborated with the Veterans Upward Bound Program at UMass Boston
and the William Joiner Center for the Study of War and Social Consequences
at UMass Boston in order to provide new experiences for youth to engage in
an intensive studio art program along with the opportunity to connect with
veterans about their experiences abroad, and their reflections since coming
back home.

Join Dot Art in celebrating and congratulating the youth who¹ve created the
works, and meet the veterans who posed for these amazing works of art. Young
artists in the program have worked five days a week, six hours a day, for
seven weeks, learning to master many artistic principles, applying their
acquired skills in the development of portraits that capture the character
of veterans in the community. Portraits from this summer¹s program
contribute to Dot Art¹s ongoing Dorchester Portraits Project, now in its 9th
year.

Hope you can join us!
