*Reddragonfly Films* begins production on "Stark Review: The Heart of Boston
Theater" about Boston theater reviewer and icon Larry Stark. The release
date is expected to be this year.

Writing theater reviews for both large and small productions since 1966,
Larry Stark became one of Boston's most staunch, influential supporters of
Boston theater and one of the city's most coveted audience members.

The film is being produced by Bernice Liuson Sim who first met Stark in 2004
at the Boston Center For the Arts while playing the role of Aphrodite.

*I was so intrigued by him. I loved his enthusiasm and friendliness and was
won over by his generous laughter. I met him again about a year later,
offered him a ride home, hoping that he wouldnt think I was as crazy as the
character that I had just played. He accepted. I drove. He inspired. We
bonded. Our friendship then led to an idea that is now in the process of
becoming a film.*

Co-producing "Stark Review" is long-time Boston filmmaker Kevin Anderton of
Midnight Chimes Productions, and Sim's husband, Andrew Sim. Anderton has
produced and directed over 40 short films in Boston and served as Production
Manager for the IMAX documentary, "Kilimanjaro: To The Roof of Africa".

"Stark Review" will feature interviews with Stark, many of Boston's theater
personalities, and footage of past and present productions, paying tribute
to the man who dedicated his life to local theater while telling the modern
history of local theater in Boston.

The film also tells the colorful story of Stark's life--theater reviewer,
runaway, and self-described yellow-dog democrat, comic collector, belly
laugher, old man with a cane, and advocate for the underdog.

Driven by a desire to see local theater thrive, Stark, 73, continues his
mission of supporting Boston's acting community through his reviews and
attendance. His reviews have given voice to many of the smaller playhouses
throughout the area making a significant contribution to the life of local
theater in Boston.
