Every year, Improper Bostonian runs a short fiction contest and publish the
winning story in our annual fall Literary Issue. We're looking for original
works of fiction, no more than 3,000 words -- and the story can't have been
previously published. Our deadline is July 25 and the writer has to live in
the Boston area. Writers should submit a cover letter and two copies of
