($20 ticket price includes admission to the Bake Sale)

The Artists Foundation (AF) is hosting its annual Fundraiser and Bake
Sale on June 1st at the Mills Gallery/Boston Center for the Arts. This fun
community building event is from 8-10:30pm and is $15 at the door. There
will be
entertainment and a bake sale. The baked goods have been baked by the AF
Board
and AF Advisory Board Members, and friends of the Artists Foundation.
Boston-based Dancing Deer Baking Co. and Joseph's Bakery of South Boston
have also
generously donated baked goods for the sale.
The entertainment for the evening is featuring key people from the
Greater Boston art community. Music by David Wildman (Musician, Writer, and
Arts
Editor for the Weekly Dig) and Readings/Spoken Word by Gail A. Burton (Poet,
Writer, Playwright, and AF Board Member), Charles Coe (Award Winning Poet
and
Author), Gary Duehr (Poet, Artist, Photographer, Art Critic) Chuck Goldstone
(Author of the "This Book is Not a Toy, NPR Commentator, and AF Board
Member), and
Christopher Millis (Poet, Writer, Editor of artsMEDIA Magazine, & Art Critic
for NPR and the Boston Phoenix).

And for the early birds and art collectors, the AF is hosting a special
VIP art sale BEFORE the Bake Sale. From 7-8pm at the Mills Gallery,
Kathleen
Bitetti, Executive Director of the Artists Foundation, Laura Donaldson,
Director of the Mills Gallery and Artists Foundation Board Member, and
special guests
will give a talk on how to start an art collection with moderate means.
There will be 40-50 small works (4"x6") on paper on sale created by artists
who
have been involved with the Artists Foundation. The price for the works: $50
each. Some of the artists who have created work for this event: Sarah
Walker,
Cristi Rinklin, Steve Locke, Chris Nau, Bruce Bemis, Gary Duehr, Toru
Nakanishi, and Sam Earle, to name a few of the participants.
PRICE: $20 at the door-please RSVP -Space is limited
($20 Ticket Price includes admission to Performances & Bake Sale from
8-10:30pm)
