For the seventeenth year in a row, Disney/ABC is continuing to search
for and discover creative talent amongst people of color.

Call to Artists
 
Exhibit Galleries at the John Joseph Moakley United States Courthouse
 
Seeking local artists and arts organizations to exhibit in the three John
Joseph Moakley United States Courthouse galleries for the 2006- 2007
exhibition season.  The Grand Lobby Entrance Gallery consists of four 8' x
8' double sided stationary panels for hanging, the Atrium Brick Wall
consists of a 60'.5" hanging track, situated 12' from the floor.  Finally,
the Harbor Park gallery consists of two 18' hanging tracks, situated at
7'.5" high.   Each unique space is open to the public and extremely visible.
 
Scope
The overall exhibition should incorporate historical themes tying the
exhibit to the local community.  Themes surrounding Boston history, New
England traditions, maritime or judicial history will be given preference.
The overall concept may be organized aesthetics or techniques or have
social, cultural, historical or intellectual concepts behind it.  An
educational component is highly encourage as part of your overall proposal. 
 
Selection Process
All artists are eligible to participate regardless of race, gender, belief,
national origin, sexual orientation or physical disabilities.  
 
Each artist will submit the following information for consideration:
            Artists' Resume
            Building Application
            Letter of intent - overview of art exhibition concept
            Sample pieces (copies of slides or photographs)
 
All exhibits and displays will be reviewed and approved by the Court &
Community Program Exhibition Committee.
