Hi Joyce,
Can you post this to the DAC list serve?
Dear DAC,
Would any of the DAC arts or craft folks be interested in a collaborative
venture with SMAMS?
We've been approached by a developer with 3 condos now available for sale.
One is furnished - showcase style - and two are empty.  If SMAMS can get
people to take a tour through them, open house style, and generate a sale,
the developer will arrange to make a % donation of the purchase amount to
our organization.  I believe the building is between the 700 and 800 block
on Dorchester Ave. close to Saint Margaret's Church.
We're thinking a holiday party - arts/crafts show might be a good draw.   
There is plenty of room for DAC artists to display their art for sale and to
set up tables with crafts for sale.    We were thinking that the artist
would offer some percentage their sales to SMAMS.  This would offset any
expenses in case a sale doesn't occur.
SMAMS provides - the space, advertising, and publicity.   We're asking
several local florists to provided decorated, table top X-mas trees to
raffle off, decorating greenery and poinsettias.  We're also thinking about
music and a cash bar - beer & wine only.

other members of SMAMS.
