         The New Haven Symphony, America's fourth oldest orchestra,  
is seeking artists and organization to participate in a juried art  
competition to design, decorate or deconstruct a violin as part of  
its "Tuning Up for the 115th" campaign.

         I was looking for help to spread the word to students in the  
area.  If you could please forward the information via email or post  
to your students, artists and affiliates it would be greatly  
appreciated.  Attached to this email is the press release which  
describes the project; a recent article in the New Haven Register;  
and an artist’s application form.  Application deadline December 2,  
2006
