Greetings!
 
I'm writing to thank those individuals who made it out to our first "City
Spotlights" information meeting. The next meeting will be held on Thursday,
December 14, 2006, 6:00pm at The Freedom House, 14 Crawford Street,
Dorchester.  Last meeting, we covered the "City Spotlights" program
components, Community Partner roles and the role of Neighborhood Committees.
Next meeting, we will discuss Special Guest Artist selections, planning for
the Neighborhood Ensembles and Outreach.
 
Please see the invitation below and view the attachment with details about
our new program which is designed to spotlight the Dorchester Community by
featuring some of its best performers.  It is important for us to receive
your RSVP before December 14th telling us whether or not you are able to
attend the meeting.  Light refreshments will be served.  We look forward to
meeting with you on December 14th!

Text Box: THE CITY SPOTLIGHTS PROGRAM is a year-long initiative that engages
Boston communities in an exploration and celebration of their neighborhood
through the performing arts. The program will culminate in a presentation at
The Wang Center's Shubert Theatre that showcases ensemble performances and
some of the best performing arts groups from each neighborhood.
THE CITY SPOTLIGHTS NEIGHBORHOOD COMMITTEES will consist of up to ten
organization representatives, teachers, artists and other invested
individuals of all ages who will: . Support the program through providing
insight on their neighborhood and assisting with outreach and recruitment
efforts of Neighborhood Ensemble members, High School Interns, and Special
Guest Artists who will represent their neighborhood in the culminating event
.'s Shubert and Wang Theatres.
