[DAC] some open studios info

Hi.  Some Open Studios info
 
-          I think most of you got e-vited, but if not, there is an Open
Studios reception on Friday Oct. 20 from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the Dorchester
Historical Society.  All are invited, but please RSVP so I have a headcount
for food.  Email joyce at ashmontmedia.com to rsvp if you haven't already via
evite.

-          Save the date: After the reception, Deb Farrar-Parkman is hosting
some of her very funny friends at a comedy show at the Tara Pub.  Admission
is $5, but free if you are a DAC member.  More info at the totally updated
and beautiful dorchesteropenstudios.org web site by Paul Hansen.

-          If you're an exhibiting artist, I know Donna has been in touch
about picking up your postcards from her front porch.  I hear about half
have been picked up, so if the rest of you could get there, that would be
great.

-          If you need extra postcards, I have some on my front porch
(important to exhibiting artists: please don't take these INSTEAD of the
packet Donna has for you on her porch at 36 Walton, only in addition to).
I'm also hoping that some community-minded people who are not exhibiting
might pick some up and spread them around in your travels.  Also on my front
porch are copies of the program guide, which you are welcome to.  They will
be distributed to exhibition sites, but if you can hand out any more in your
travels, you are welcome to take some.  My front porch is located at 10 Burt
St. (off Washington, near Ashmont) and the stuff is just inside the door.

-          Posters should be ready mid-next week, and I will be in touch
with you generous folks who offered to post them in various spots.

profiles and other coverage.
