 Hello everyone,
Do yourself a favor and check out Roxbury Open Studios-to see the talent and creativity in our community as well as support local artists! Last year I viewed just a few places and was amazed that so many artists lived and created work here!! I also bought a few wonderful, unique items that you can't get anywhere else!
My work will be at the African Winter Gallery and this place is amazing (not just because I am there, either)! See info below!!

love, Samm

Please pass this invitation on to your contacts. Thanx.

I would like to cordially invite you to our Gallery, AfricanWinter. We will
be participating for the second time in the Annual Roxbury Open Studios, and
this year we have a very exciting lineup of new work by our great family of
local talent: Laurence Pierce, Leon Robinson, Robert Murrell, Robert
Thornell, Ife Franklin, Cynthia Bogues, Mike Ritter, Jose Raphael Guzman and
Richard Waters. We are also constantly reaching out to young aspiring
artists, and invite them to bring their portfolios to the gallery for peer
reviews.

The gallery is very easy to get to- we are located in the basement of 21
Oldfields Road (the Lonnie Johnson House) which is located just off Columbia
Road between Geneva Avenue and Stanwood Street.

The festival is this coming weekend, October 28th and 29th, from 11:00 am to
6:00 pm, however the Gallery is open 360 days/year by appointment (telephone
617.427.2386 or 617.905.4012).

Without exception, people are always pleasantly surprised by the
consistently excellent work they see on display. Last year we had very
favourable write-ups in the Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, Dorchester
Reporter, Mattapan Reporter, and we were also featured as guests on Chris
Harding's show on Neighborhood Network News.

We look forward to seeing you. Please come out and show your support, and
bring along your young aspiring artists.

Sincerely,
Laurence Martin Pierce
President
AfricanWinter Gallery of Dorchester
