[DAC] dac mail list etiquette

Just a reminder-
 
1.	The DAClist (Dorchester Arts Collaborative) is meant to be used for
the distribution of information related to the creation and presentation of
art in Dorchester.  It is also a good place to post calls-to-artists and
information about workshops related to arts and artists. It is also often
used for communication about open studios.   It is not meant to be used for
any other kind of info.
 
2.	Anyone who is subscribed to the DAClist can post to the DAClist by
writing to dacmail at thedac.org.  I would be very grateful if you posted
directly, instead of sending it to me and asking me to post.  I get a lot of
email, and can't always get to it.  
 
3.	If the list generates too much mail for you, you can set it to
"digest" which means you will get no more than one compiled post a day.  You
should be able to do this by following the administrative link that shows up
below, but if not, ask me and I will be happy to do it manually.
 
4.	When responding to a post, please make sure that you are a)
responding only to the poster and b) that you are responding to the original
poster, not the kind soul who may have forwarded the post on someone else's
behalf.
 
5.	The list is moderated, to cut down on spam and other off-topic
posts.  This means that your post may not show up immediately.  It can take
up to 24 hours for the post to get through, so keep this in mind if posting
time-sensitive stuff.
 
6.	If you do find yourself inclined to complain about the way things
are run, please always keep in mind that DAC and the DAClist are run by
people who volunteer their time out of a desire to see art flourish in
Dorchester.  Requests for support work a lot faster than demands for
attention.
