[DAC] Edward Everett Square and bricks.

Friend of Dorchester, Edward Everett Square, Public Art
& those who believe in the importance of personal stories in our public spaces,

Time is of the essence for people who want inscribed bricks to be 
installed at Edward Everett Square by the Saturday June 16th 
dedication.  Additional bricks will be installed throughout the 
summer and fall and into 2008 as part of the overall redesign and 
public art work at Edward Everett Square to celebrate Dorchester's 
history & stories.    We want this important Dorchester gateway to 
celebrate the  ordinary and extraordinary voices of this great 
community.

The bricks and inscriptions to date have been wonderful and rich. 
There have been a few, though not enough, which describe or include 
thoughts about art.   It would be great to have more artists and art 
organizations participate.

In order for bricks to be engraved and in the ground by the ceremony 
I will need a faxed copy of the brick inscription form by Sunday June 
3,  6 pm.   Fax # 617 625-3535.  The original form and $100 payment 
per brick should be sent directly to the Dorchester Historical 
Society at 195 Boston Street. (see the form for full address details 
and payment options)
