Subject: Nature's Gems: Sunday Art Show in Franklin Park

Dear Franklin Park Friends:

Before the holiday rush begins, please join us for a delightful afternoon!

Sunday, December 2nd from 2-5 pm - Nature's Gems: Art exhibit, sale, and
book-signing with Emerald Necklace, nature and community-inspired art.

There'll be jazz from Berklee, refreshments (including donated cookies from
Dancing Deer Bakery) and a children's activity table.

Many prominent local artists are coming to show and sell their work. This is
a first-ever event for Franklin Park. Among the fourteen artists will be:
Fern Cunningham and Karen Eutemy, creators of the statues in Mattapan
Square; Roberto Chao, known for his Roxbury murals, one of the most
celebrated being at the Egleston Square Peace Garden; and local JP
favorites, photographer Robin Radin and watercolorist Mardi Reed. Signed
copies of a new collection of photographs by Dan Tobyne, Boston's Emerald
Necklace, will be for sale. There will be sculpture, photography, oils,
mixed media, water colors - something for every eye.

30% of art sale proceeds will go towards the restoration of Franklin Park's
woodlands. FPC member and artist, Bren Atchison, is curating the show. The
Emerald Necklace Conservancy is partnering with FPC to put on the event.
Check out the FPC website (www.franklinparkcoalition.org) to see images of
some of the artwork.

Bring friends, neighbors and family members - open to all.

We hope you'll come!
