DORCHESTER ARTS EXHIBIT WORK IN JURIED SHOW AT AHIMSA GALLERY IN
DORCHESTER'S SAVIN HILL NEIGHBORHOOD
 
Show Runs Oct. 15 - Dec. 31, Reception Oct. 26 6 - 8 p.m.
 
(Dorchester, MA - Sept. 17, 2007)  Ahimsa Gallery (11 Pearl Street,
Dorchester, MA) presents the Dorchester Arts Collaborative Open Studios
Juried show, from Oct. 15 through Dec. 31, 2007.  There will be a reception
from 6 to 8pm on Oct. 26, the night before the opening of the annual
Dorchester Open Studios event, held at various locations around Dorchester
(more details on Open Studios will follow soon).  For more information call

There are 18 artists in the show, all of whom live, work or learn in
Dorchester, and exhibit at this year's Open Studios event.  The exhibiting
artists are Erik Abel, Sharon D. Armour, Cynthia Marie Bogues, Judith
Brassard Brown, Elisabeth Colburn-Moraites, Sandy Coleman, Vincent Crotty,
Lucilda Dassardo-Cooper, Susan Hardiman/Adornamenti, Masako Kamiya, Susan
Krause, Rob Littlefield, Sasja Lucas, Cathy Moylan, Fran Osborn-Blaschke,
Larry Pryor, Marcia Sewall and Linda Szabo White.  
 
The show was juried by John Colan, Chair of the Graphic Design Program at
Monserrat College of Art, and creator of HallSpace, a gallery in Boston
specifically for artists not affiliated with a commercial gallery.
 
Ahimsa Studio is a fine art exhibition space. Its mission is to provide a
venue for the regular interaction of artists, collectors, visitors and
others interested in the fine arts and to continue building the arts
community in Dorchester. The gallery offers a professional quality
exhibition space for artwork of all media, exhibiting works of new and
emerging artists as well as new works by established artists. Gallery hours
are Friday and Saturday from 3-6pm or by appointment.  Call 617-429-9597 or
