[DAC] DAC list etiquette and housekeeping

Hi everyone-
 
It’s my semi-annual post on DAClist etiquette and housekeeping.
 
The DAC list has just over 300 subscribers, and I believe MOST are visual
artists, but it’s meant for anyone who wants to receive news on arts-related
things somehow connected to Dorchester.  Any member of this list can post to
this list by emailing HYPERLINK
"mailto:dacmail at thedac.org"dacmail at thedac.org.  We welcome new subscribers,
so if you know someone who is interested, just have them email us at
info at thedac.org.
 
It is a moderated list, to keep from getting any spam, so your post may not
appear for up to 48 hours – it depends on how close I am to the computer to
release the posts.  Keep that in mind if you’re posting about an event
that’s coming up very soon.
 
If the list creates too much volume for your taste, you CAN switch to digest
mode, which will gather all posts and send them once daily.  Just email me
at HYPERLINK "mailto:info at thedac.org"info at thedac.org and I will make that
happen.  (Volume gets greater around open studios in October, because we
tend to use it as an information source for that.)
 
We are NO LONGER forwarding posts we get from the Artists Foundation,
because so many of you are members of that list as well, and complained
about the duplication.  They send out great information about grants and
calls to artists, so if you’re NOT on that list, I STRONGLY suggest you

I can also unsub you if you like, but if you are an artist exhibiting at
Dorchester open studios, it is a good idea to stay on the list at least
through the event.
