Hello all

Ahimsa Studio is dedicated to providing programs in
Art and Yoga that improve the quality of life for all
of our neighbors in Dorchester and regionally. For
almost three years now we have provided public art
exhibitions and classes in Yoga at the Pearl Street
Studios building at 11 Pearl Street here in
Dorchester. With the beginning of Boston Senior
Services we are takng that philosophy a step further
by providing programs of Art education and Yoga on
site at area senior facilities.


Boston Senior Services is a new program of Ahimsa
Studio to match up professional artists and yoga
teachers with agencies serving the senior population
of Dorchester and Boston area generally. We provide
classes in Art and Yoga for seniors. We provide high
quality art materials and recreate a genuine studio
experience on site. We also provide classes in Yoga
taught by nationally registered instructors with many
years of experience. Our programs are designed to
challenge and engage seniors on both the physical and
mental levels. Our teachers are trained to nurture
strength and mental acuity in all of our students.
This program is designed to have a direct positive
effect on seniors quality of life.

We already serve the Kit Clark Senior Center, Uphams
Corner Elder Services, The VinFen Drop in center, L
Street bathhouse and other Senior facilities in the
Boston Area. We are expanding fast. We are also
looking for new sites where these services are needed.

for seniors that could use our services please give us

BSS is looking for qualified teachers of both Art and
Yoga. You don't have to teach both. One or the other
would be fine. We are looking for teachers with some
experience working with seniors who are challenged by
age and condition. Many of our students have limited
mobility and partial paralysis. If you have any
background in teaching art or yoga paste your resume
