[DAC] From Cairo 2

Thank you all for your blessings.

Your powerful intentions have created a miracle in Cairo for us.  
After days of struggling through the pollution and strategizing ways  
to deal with the constant feel of grit in our eyes, nose and hair, it  
rained! Yesterday as we walked out to try to find the metro, Ken said  
he wished it would rain to clear the air of grit.

It started with a few drops, but then became a shower, the most that  
Cairo has received in the past two and a half years we were told.

We are ecstatic about the clear air.
I actually saw the pyramid on the giza plateau from my window after  
the rain.


Almost in the center of the picture, just behind the cluster of 3  
highrise buildings and to the left.
Here is a detail to help pinpoint where it is.


Beautiful sunset also.

Today, I saw the tomb/mosque of Saladin in Old Cairo from the other  
side of our building. I recognize it from our previous visit to Egypt.

In the center of the picture, it's the fort on the hill.

I realize the quality of the photo may make it difficult to see and I  
promise to get better photos soon. I am using a blue tooth device to  
download my photos, so when the scanner gets here from the U.S. I can  
send better quality images.

Anyway just to say thanks for the power of your awesome prayers and  
blessings that you have so generously showered on us for settling in  
to our new home in Cairo for the next 5 months.
