[DAC] CALL TO ARTISTS

To all Dorchester artists:

DAC needs submissions for a spectacular design for the DAC float in the 2008
Dorchester Day Parade which will be held Sunday, June 1, 2008.

We have an opportunity to dazzle onlookers by showcasing the talents of
artists in our community.  It will serve to keep the folks interested in us
and our activities, including Dorchester Open Studios.

We need someone that will act as an organizer, even though it should be a
collaborative project.  The organizer will be responsible for collaborating
with artists to come up with the design, stay with the project from
inception to completion, report to the DAC board, stay within budget and
recruit 40 people to march in the parade.  The DAC board is committed to
marching.

We have a potential sponsor willing to donate $1000 providing we come up
with a great design and willing participants.
