A number of pushcarts at Boston's Faneuil Hall will be available for lease
by local artisans and businesses.  The Faneuil Hall Marketplace attracts
more than 18 million visitors annually.  If you would like to lease a
pushcart to display and sell your work at Faneuil Hall on an ongoing basis

The Artists Foundation has collaborated to create an on-line tool, Stand Up
and Be Counted to better determine how many artists of all disciplines are

January 31 Artist Certification results 
Applications for the January 31, 2008 deadline for artist certification have
been reviewed.  If you applied before that deadline, thank you for your
patience.  You can expect to get a letter or phone call about your
certification status within the next two weeks.
 

Next deadline for Artist Certification
The BRA is now accepting Artist Certification applications on a rolling

Artist Review Board nominations 
The BRA Artist Space Initiative is accepting applications for new Artist
Review Board members.  Board members serve on peer review panels once or
twice a year to review applications from artists who are seeking BRA Artist
Certification.  The Board represents a wide spectrum of experience in the
arts--artists and arts professionals from all disciplines and all

Artist Live/Work Units at FP3 
Affordable live/work artist units will be for sale at FP3 in Fort Point
soon.  Specific information about timeline for the sale of these units is
not yet available.  You will receive email from us about this opportunity as
soon as it is released by the project developer.  BRA Certified Artists will
receive a preference for units. 
 

New Artist Building Approved for Construction in South Boston
The Signal Building at 154 West Second Street will include 24 artist
live/work units for sale to BRA Certified Artists.  The developer would like
to invite you to attend a focus group about the project on Saturday March
29th at 11AM. It will last for about an hour and will include a presentation
about the proposed building and how its design can meet the needs of

Create Boston Business Loans 
 
Create Boston, an initiative of the Boston Redevelopment Authority connects
artistic entrepreneurs and businesses with cash via the Boston Local
Development Corporation (BLDC).  Offering loans between $15,000 and $150,000
for businesses in--or relocating to--the City of Boston, BLDC helps
companies grow and create jobs.  These loans can be used to buy new business
property, purchase equipment, provide working capital, expand, or finance

Boston Sculptors is a landmark cooperative and has served as an alternative
venue for exciting, innovative sculpture exhibitions since 1992.  BSG's 32
members are provided with an exhibition approximately every 24 months at the
gallery, now located at 486 Harrison Avenue, in Boston's SOWA district. The
gallery features 12 foot ceilings, substantial natural light and two movable
wall panels.  In exchange, members help support the gallery operations with
annual dues and a percentage of sales as well as gallery sitting, reception

Stonybrook Fine Arts--New Classes
Stonybrook Fine Arts is offering a Ladies Welding Class on Friday nights
from 6-9PM, as well as a Making a Meaningful Object class offered at several
times.  Regular classes include live figure modeling, bronze casting, mold
making, ceramics, welding, jewelry making and small metals casting.  The
